Join the fun -- buy tickets to Art à la Carte's hands-on arts festival and help raise money and awareness for programs that support people living with cancer.

TIME: 10 AM till the afternoon
Move over Scream, Articipation is the new Art à la Carte event that lets you unleash your hidden creativity. Participants will have many chances to both create and purchase arts and crafts from artists and artisans who will be demonstrating their work. Or you can join in a giant PaintFest™ where five pre-drawn, colour-coded murals will be painted en masse. The finished murals will be placed in cancer treatment centres both in Calgary and outside the province. NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!
Articipation is also an opportunity to learn more about our amazing partners at Cancervive. (www.cancervive.ca) The event is a homecoming celebration for the Calgary Peloton Project – a nine day cross-country cycling excursion, where riders sponsor cancer patients (warriors) at a Lance Armstrong LiveSTRONG event. The peloton will leave Calgary mid-August to ride all the way to Philadelphia!
A true highlight to the Articipation celebration includes honouring each Cancervive participant. Riders and warriors will receive an original medal produced by Studio C in a heart-warming ceremony that’s bound to bring a tear to the eye. We will then join together for a 4K ceremonial walk along the beautiful Glenmore Park pathways in Britannia. The walk is dedicated to both Cancervive and cancer survivors everywhere.
Other sensory delights for the day include food sampling, therapeutic clowns, face painting, and the newfunksoul sound of Urbandivide band. What a great way for families to hold on to summer just a bit longer!
Entry fees include complete access to all art events, food, the walk and complimentary t-shirts.
